This update on spine surgery provides the latest, highest‑quality evidence. It aims to specifically showcase randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and studies published in higher‑impact‑factor journals. A large number of RCTs have been published, and important clinical studies have been recognized in top journals, not only in orthopaedics. Specific themes related to surgical site infections, pediatric growth and deformity, cervical and lumbar degenerative conditions, and endoscopic spine surgery will be highlighted in this article.
